  My husband gave me a groupon to Real Monte salon for my 68th birthday. I waited awhile to use it and when I called to make an appointment I was told that they had a family wedding about to take place and they would call me back to say when I could get an appointment. I got no call back. I called again about 3 weeks before it was to expire and was told it was too late. When I argued that I had called previously and not been called back they said I could come naming one date and time, no choices, which I took. On arrival I had to wait quite a long time and, then, was assigned, I believe, the Mother of the owner to do my manicure and pedicure. I felt she behaved rudely throughout, at one point leaving me sitting in the salon for a long time and at another berating me about how dry my feet were, "See that!, That's all dead skin" looking disgusted. I felt bullied. Her conversation was largely about how badly they were treated when persons used groupons and never came back!
  I tried to behave courteously throughout, even to the point of leaving a generous tip which I regret. I just wanted to get out of there! If the object was to ensure I would never come back, they succeeded. I have told many friends about this wretched experience and, now seeing the spa advertised again via a discount deal I thought it was time for me to speak up. My nail polish started to peel off almost immediately and the polish on my toes wasn't dry and wrinkeled even in the 'free' flip flops I wore.
